[V]'s Chosen One of the month is sizzling siren Jolin Tsai. The Taiwanese songstress first showed off her vocal chops when she entered a singing contest and wowed the judges with her winning rendition of Whitney Houston’s "Greatest Love of All". After signing a record deal, she released her first album, Jolin 1019, in 1999. The debut effort sold over 400,000 copies in Asia and took her to the top of the charts. With her saccharine-sweet looks and girl-next-door demeanour, she became the fantasy figure for every boy in Asia and earned the nickname, "Teenage Boy Killer."
In 2003, her star went stratospheric with the release of her fifth album, Magic. The dance-oriented album topped the charts in Taiwan for three months, selling over 1 million copies in Asia. Taiwanese megastar, Jay Chou helped pen many of the tracks, including the hit single, "Say Love You." With her Magic touch, Jolin cemented her place as Taiwan's Queen of Pop.
Going from strength to strength, in 2006 Jolin released Dancing Diva, her most successful album to date. Ditching her good-girl image for a sex-bomb persona, the album sold over 2 million copies in Asia. The video for one of the album’s most popular songs, 'Mr Q', features an appearance from Hong Kong bad boy Edison Chen.
With her killer moves and knockout tunes, Jolin Tsai continues to take charge of the airwaves. Celebrate Taiwan’'s most dynamic diva in the following programs this April on CHANNEL [V].

jolin is good... but i think BoA is better... BoA debuted in korea when she was 13 years old and she's really talented...she's a very good singer and dancer too. she can act...I even saw her on a T.V. series but it's too old already and she's good in acting too ^^ I became her fan when I was about 5 or 6 years old... she became my inspiration to catch my dreams! ^^

I don't like Jolin, actually I used too in the early part of her career when she was abit more original but it seems that nowadays she has become a lot less real as she tends to copy ideas and concepts of other artists like Ayumi Hamasaki
